Note according to §18 Battery Act

Return of batteries and accumulators

Dear customers,

In the interests of environmental protection and in accordance with the legal requirements of Section 18 of the Battery Act (BattG), we would like to inform you about the return and disposal of batteries and accumulators. As a consumer, you are legally obliged to return used batteries and accumulators. By disposing of waste correctly, you make an important contribution to environmental protection, as harmful substances and resources are conserved.

What should you pay attention to?

  • Used batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of with household waste.
  • You can return batteries that you received from us free of charge after use. This applies to quantities that end users typically dispose of.
  • You can also return batteries and accumulators free of charge to retailers or municipal collection points.
  • The return to points of sale is independent of the purchase and is limited to quantities usual for end users as well as those batteries that the distributor carries or has carried in its range.

Detection of batteries and accumulators:

Batteries and accumulators that contain harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can. In addition, under this symbol you will find the chemical symbols of the corresponding pollutants, for example "Cd" for cadmium, "Pb" for lead and "Hg" for mercury.

We thank you for your commitment and support in the proper disposal and recycling of batteries and accumulators. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
