The relatively small and lightweight DZOFilm VESPID 40mm T2.1 lens is part of DZOFilm's VESPID lens series and is ideal for independent and high-end full-frame cinematography. With a front diameter of 80 mm, it is compatible with virtually any cine-style matte box. The small size makes the lens an attractive option for working with drones, gimbals, and handheld or camera movement shots. The interchangeable PL mount and the included EF mount allow the fully manual lens to be used on a wide variety of film cameras. Thanks to its full-frame coverage, it supports sensors with an image circle of up to 46.5 mm, without vignetting.
The 16-blade aperture creates round, natural-looking bokeh effects. The focus ring rotates 270°, and the aperture ring rotates 64°, enabling precise focusing. Both rings feature cine-style serrations and are compatible with cine accessories such as follow-focus units. The lens also features a magnetically attached rear ND filter.
